Recognition of EDC by Bahir Dar City Chamber of Commerce & Sectoral Association
During the Bahir Dar City Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association (BCCSA) annual review meeting, EDC was recognized for the Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (ETW) as well as Customised Training (CT) that was provided to 53 sectoral association members. The participants that took part in the ETW are operators of existing businesses while those that took part in the CT were start-ups. The trainings that the BCCSA members received has helped participants further develop their entrepreneurship skills.
The partnership with BCCSA began following a successful engagement in the events and activities that EDC organized during the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). Partnering with EDC has helped BCCSA reach its goals which are to enrol 150 members in capacity building business related trainings in each quarter.
BCCSA was established in 1998 E.C, with a current membership base of 676 members of which 195 members are females. The association organizes trade fairs/exhibitions, need based training, offers arbitration/meditation, research, membership development, networking and partnership, representation, advocacy and provision of business information services.
